LEVEL PLAYING FIELD LEAGUE

We have a new '10' league for 2015, designed to provide a level playing field for all riders, it's based on age and gender, a similar concept to the VTTA standards but covering all age groups.

The objective is to enable all riders to judge their performance/progress against others and provide a league for them to directly compete against each other and hopefully further enhance friendly competition within the club.

The Level Playing Field (LPF) table gives each rider a ratio based on gender and age on 1st January, the actual time of each rider is multiplied by the ratio giving the LPF time. The table can be viewed here

THE LEAGUE:

• All Coventry Road Club members are included (first and second claim riders, 12 years and older).
• All times will be automatically shown on the league table, no need to signify that you wish to be included in the league.
• It doesn't matter whether you are riding an aero TT bike or road bike, all rides count.
• Qualifying events are all 13 Thursday evening 10’s (including handicap and inter-club events).
• The league table will be updated after each event and posted on our website throughout the season.
• A riders league position will be based on fastest average time over his/her best five LPF times.

The awards:

• The winner holds the league plaque for one year.
• There will also be a "Best Newbie" award (for riders that have never raced before).
